At OpenBook, we are committed to helping students of all ages complete homework and projects, review lessons, study for tests and quizzes, and prepare for exams. We have expertise in all of the four major subject areas including language and the arts, social studies, math, and science and have experience with local public and private school systems and the variety of classes they offer.
Whether students need ongoing instruction throughout a semester or on an as-needed basis, we offer support regardless of the size and magnitude of the assignments. We provide a structured framework for immediate and long-term success.
ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL
The foundation for early childhood academic and social development starts here. It is never too early to learn the basic skills needed for success in a academic setting.
We believe in mastering and teaching the fundamentals -- reading, writing, and arithmetic -- in addition to simple organization and study techniques. Laying the groundwork at a young age ensures a competent and confident student capable of transitioning to the next level.
We offer supplemental instruction for academic, honors, and AP classes as well as Virginia SOL preparation, lesson reviews, homework help, project completion, research paper and essay planning and editing.
The first day of high school is more important than the last. Freshman and sophomore years often are neglected academically because they are mistakenly viewed as less important when, in fact, these foundational years build a core GPA and provide the structure for the advanced learning and application during junior and senior years.
